Bhavin Pradhan

Bhavin is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Affairs at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, USA, focusing on energy policy and economics. An engineer-turned-policy researcher Bhavin investigates public policies by applying interdisciplinary computational social science methods to learn about energy justice, energy transition, and climate mitigation. His research lies at the intersection of the energy transition’s economics, justice, and policy implications. Outside of academia, Bhavin has been working with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) as a Consultant Advisor to the Federal and Provincial governments in Nepal to develop electric mobility projects. He has also worked as a Junior Programme Officer with German International Cooperation (GIZ)’s Energizing Development (EnDev) program in Nepal to deliver renewable energy and energy access programs in rural Nepal.

Bhavin holds a Master’s in Energy Policy, Planning, and Economics from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
