Sushav Niraula
Politics & Public Policy Researcher
Sushav is a Politics and Public Policy researcher at the PEI. He is also the Assistant Editor at the Review of Democracy based at the Central European University. His current interests lie within themes surrounding the political economy of aid, public sector governance, ethnic politics, and federalism. Previously, he was a strategic planning consultant at UNESCO Nepal and a visiting faculty at Kathmandu University (KU). In these roles, he drafted the UNESCO Country Strategy for Nepal, led UNESCO’s engagement in preparing the United Nations Sustainable Cooperation Framework for Nepal, and helped design KU’s flagship public policy program.
Sushav received his graduate degree in Public Policy and Politics from Sciences Po, Paris, and a degree in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia in India. His writings have been published in World Politics Review, LSE Review of Book, Asia and the Pacific Policy Society, the Diplomat, and the Kathmandu Post.
